Trisha Felgar has worked in the field of geriatrics for the last 15yrs. After Trisha received her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology she decided to follow her passion and received a degree in Gerontology/Recreational Therapy in Toronto, Ontario. After Trisha completed her degree in Toronto she move to Boston, Massachusetts were she began her career working with individuals with various forms of memory loss. Trisha worked as a recreational therapist on a final stage Alzheimer Unit and then was hired to become a Director of an Alzheimer Unit where she oversaw the day to day needs of the residents, caregivers and families. After 6yrs in Boston, Trisha returned back to Montreal and for the last 11yrs worked as a Geriatric Care Manager overseeing the health care profiles of individuals with memory loss; Alzheimer’s Disease. In 2014, Trisha started her own company, Trisha Felgar: Alzheimer Support. The goal of Alzheimer Support is to educate families on the options available to them to ensure their loved one can age in place; in a happy and secure environment. Trisha is married and has two beautiful boys, Ted and Charlie.
