Debbie was born and raised in Montreal; although her husband says the West Island doesn’t count. She has been teaching in an inner city elementary school for the past five years. While her job can be challenging at times, it is also extremely rewarding. The route to her teaching career began in Montreal with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and ended in Ottawa with another in Education. Once in Ottawa, Debbie decided to stay. Despite the small town feel and lack of great restaurants, she enjoys Ottawa life and appreciates its proximity to Montreal. Debbie is married to another native Montrealer. In her spare time she enjoys playing music with her husband and board games with her friends. She has recently discovered a love for editing old home movies, which has been both heart warming and embarrassing for her and her family. At family events, Debbie can often be found with a video camera in hand, hoping to create more embarrassing footage for the future.
