Finding the right people to hire can be challenging.
I have recently spent the last couple of months looking at resourcing plans and preparing to bring on-board new talent for a big initiative at work.  On one hand, it is reassuring that you have support to help do the work, and that it is not expected that you do it all yourself.  On the other hand, it is a tremendous responsibility to make the right decision.  0013A poor decision can significantly delay the progress of a project and upset the dynamic within your already established team.  Both talent and inter-personal skills need to be carefully assessed.  Most often, there is a lot at stake.

I have quit three important jobs in my career.  The first when I was in my ealy 20s, with a tyrant for a boss, and little "on-the-job" experience, but I knew enough to realize the situation wasn't right.
I quit and went to Cuba for a week. Best decision I could have made at the time.

post it note3 Insecurity at work is a career killer.  That said, we all experience it at one time or another.  That moment when you start a new job…or have a big presentation to make…or realize you are in over your head with that high profile project…your self-esteem plummets and you start to question yourself…“Can I really pull this off?”

Life as a Mom is busy and hectic.  Life as a Single Mom is exponentially busy and hectic.  The lunches, carpools, schedules, laundry, social directing, and daily adventures keep Moms constantly on the go, and as a result we often forget to take time just for ourselves.  It’s hard to balance family time with time for yourself.  I know that for me, it’s always a struggle.  After all, I see myself as Mommy first and then everything else follows.
