Here I go again with some more holiday decorating.
In my defence, my birthday is Christmas day. Now that I have kids, it is all about them, and I am of no importance that day! So, I permit myself to take advantage of putting up the decorations early and enjoying every minute of it!

For those of you who don’t know... I was an interior designer in another life!

Nothing makes me a happier then home decorating projects. I LOVE everything about them.....the contractors, the paint fumes, the trips to Home Depot and even the mess. I love the rush of running through Homesense or Ikea with a full basket and the exhilaration of receiving my online purchases at my front door from Restoration Hardware.  And the most fulfilling aspect  of  designing my OWN  space is that I can take RISKS with colours, textures, and design! I love to make changes in my home and every project I've conquered so far has been exciting.

Things got a little heavy around these parts last week, so let's take things down a notch with another topic that's near and dear to my heart. Hangers. I grew up with a father who was a neat freak. His clothing was color-coded and each hanger hung exactly two fingers widths apart from its neighbor. That was a little crazy, and also a hard standard to replicate without a ruler and a compass.

I have been staring at the blank walls in my master bedroom for almost 4 years now. Talk about being indecisive! Okay, maybe not totally blank because I did install a wallpaper accent wall where I have my bed, but I have been hankering to add a personal touch above the headboard - specifically something I could create myself. It has been a long time waiting, but hey, now I get to share it with all of you!
